It seems that Tim @ Snake Radio Customs can never get a grip on how to measure SWR properly.
He is constantly seen in his 980 + stinger videos telling his customers to measure the SWR with the amp on.
Anyone that knows even a little bit about CB radio knows that you can’t measure your antenna SWR with your amp on unless your meter is after the amp.
If you install an amplifier in the radio then your measuring the SWR of the amp, not the antenna!
This is something that is told on forums, message boards, by the amp builders themselves…
If you are thinking about Snake Radio Customs you really need to find someone else.
A “tech” that does not know even the basics is not someone you want doing a “setup” on your brand new radio.
