Bounty: Show us an Anytone 6666 with “FQP13N10” transistors that does not explode [Updated]

Hard Drive and his trolls are still claiming this Palomar transistor is the god of transistors and anything else will EXPLODE and possibly KILL YOU! But you have to remember that before they came along he was happily using these radios as they were and they were not exploding then. I am reasonably sure this won’t explode based on this but in case, I am not responsible if you take on this task. Read that again. NOT RESPONSIBLE if you try this. Don’t want to lose the radio? Don’t do it!

You will get some greenbacks if:

  • You make a video showing an AT-6666 with no antenna transmitting for 60 seconds without exploding or burning out the finals.
  • You show us some kind of timer as you do it.
  • You open the radio and show us that there are these FQP13N10 transistors in it
  • Radio never leaves sight of the camera.
  • Must see an SWR reading > 9

I send you greenbacks. And it’s my contest so I get to pick how much based on how inventive your video is. I might buy you lunch or I might buy you a radio. But you get to have fun!

I WILL NOT pay for your radios if they blow up. THAT MEANS YOU FAILED. Accept this challenge at your own risk!

Update! WE HAVE A WINNER!

YouTuber Mark19960 uploaded a video where an Anytone 6666 lasted over 2 whole minutes with nothing connected period! He did not even have coax connected to it and his SWR was WAY OVER 9.

Contact me with your paypal address and I will send you $100 for your time.

Hey RabbiPorkChop, what do you have to say now?

Hard Drive, you lose. Good day.

  1. Awesome. I guess we see who has integrity and who is honest, it’s the blogger guy.

It’d take Sherman a week of panhandling interstate offramps to gather up $100.
